Kumon Atlanta Piedmont Park – Binita Vijay
According to the NAWBO more than 11.6 million firms are owned by women, employing nearly 9 million people, and generating $1.7 trillion in sales as of 2017. Women–owned firms (51% or more) account for 39% of all privately held firms and contribute 8% of employment and 4.2% of revenues.
A study by INC Magazine revealed that Women-owned businesses with revenues over $1 million increased 46 percent compared to 12 percent for all U.S. businesses in the last decade–an impressive feat were it not for the fact that these businesses make up only 1.7 percent of all women-owned firms.
One of my first projects of 2020 is to highlight and profile all of the female owned businesses I have worked with, supported and or discovered over the last 10 years. Becoming an independent business owner is hard, even harder for women and minority women another extra step as well, no illusions here. Many of us don’t make it past the first year, getting funding as a female owner is a challenge which means most of our businesses do not survive. We need capital to stay in business. My goal, is to highlight these female owned and operated businesses, hopefully you can promote them as well. Feel free to post or share information about other female entrepreneurs as well.
Welcome to my Female Entrepreneurs Directory of 2020.

“As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant.
