True strategy is never just about handing over a notebook of generic marketing ideas—it is about re-architecting an entrepreneurial ecosystem so a small business founder can step into their true authority as an enterprise builder.
This week officially marked the completion of my second mentorship cohort with Our Village United (https://ourvillageunited.org/). I am incredibly grateful to the entire team at OVU for once again believing in my work, trusting my vision, and inviting me back to guide their incredible founders through our intensive 12-week scaling cycles.
My primary focus during this cohort was working alongside Barbara Wall, owner of Enchanted Tea Lounge in Midtown Memphis. The lounge wasn’t just a business; it was a sanctuary of legacy, wellness, and curated ritual. But like so many brilliant brick-and-mortar founders, Barbara was facing a classic scaling bottleneck: running a full slate of social media platforms manually, managing disjointed operational tools, and trying to pull off a massive vision as a solo operator.
As a strategist, my goal for Deeg Consulting LLC was clear: Build a repeatable, multi-channel revenue engine capable of scaling the business directly toward its $20,000 monthly target.
Now that we have officially wrapped up this implementation cycle, here are the five major milestones we executed to transform an exceptional local brand into a structured, sustainable scaling machine.
1. Stop Managing Platforms in Silos (The Power of Metricool)
Many small business owners suffer from digital fatigue because they log into Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Threads individually every week. To create absolute consistency without founder burnout, we centralized her entire ecosystem into Metricool. By transforming Metricool into her main operational command center, we gave her the power to schedule global campaigns, automate postings, and track multi-channel analytics from a single dashboard.
2. Elevate Products from “Fuel” to “Ritual”
During our cycle, we completely overhauled her pastry program. Scones shouldn’t just be a standard, grab-and-go coffee shop afterthought. We rebranded her menu into an artisanal collection featuring signature names like The Southern Charm and The Botanical Muse, pairing them directly with her fresh Boba Tea Line to capture lucrative weekday professional lunch crowds. We then built high-converting social campaigns that drove immediate revenue through a pre-launch call-ahead phone-pickup funnel right before her official DoorDash rollout.
3. Turn Reservation Data into a Long-Term Loyalty Loop
A transaction shouldn’t end when the guest pays the bill. We re-engineered her customer lifecycle by bridging her Clover POS data and RESOS online reservations into a systematic post-visit retention loop. Instead of hosting a beautiful weekend High Tea event and letting the guests disappear, the system now automatically captures their data to trigger text message alerts, loyalty points, and direct digital invitations to refer Enchanted Tea Lounge to fellow community and business networks in Memphis.
4. Dominate Local Search Architecture
If your local business isn’t showing up in the Google Local Pack when someone searches “tea rooms near me,” you are actively giving cash to your closest competitors. Over 12 weeks, we completely optimized her Google Business Profile, Yelp, and TripAdvisor listings, moving Enchanted Tea Lounge to Rank #2 in Memphis Tea Rooms. We paired this digital visibility with physical, horizontal “Triple-Review” table cards on the lounge floor to ensure highly satisfied guests are constantly feeding her local SEO engine with fresh, 10/10 social proof.
5. Protect the Investment with Immediate Support
This is my absolute golden rule for small business consulting: Strategy without disciplined execution is completely worthless. Because Barbara is a busy founder with appointments booking out every single day, trying to maintain a complex multi-channel marketing architecture alone is a recipe for operational drop-off. To eliminate this risk and protect her financial return, the single most important step we took in our final week was vetting and introducing a competent Virtual Assistant (VA) to seamlessly manage her permanent company SOPs and keep the machine humming.
The Takeaway for Today’s Business Owner
Enchanted Tea Lounge graduated from our 12-week program not just with prettier social graphics, but with a fully functional business conversion architecture. By unifying local SEO, third-party delivery apps, reservation follow-ups, and recurring subscription funnels, Barbara has officially stepped out of the daily chaotic grind and into her true role as an enterprise builder.
To Barbara and the entire High SocieTea Tribe—thank you for an unforgettable 12 weeks. Memphis has an incredible gem on Cleveland Street, and the runway ahead is completely limitless!
